29th Annual Heritage Day
Saturday, August 2, 2008 from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.
In 2008, the 1719 Hans Herr House and Museum is pleased to offer the 29th annual Heritage Day.
Heritage Day is a fun-filled farm festival featuring demonstrations of farm life and activities from the 18th century through the early 20th century. Watch demonstrations of hay making, threshing, 18th century gardening, broom making, carpentry, meat smoking, home textile manufacture, quilting, hearth cooking, blacksmithing, and much more! Plan to spend the day and take in all of the 30-35 activities and workshops. Bring your appetite, too, because Heritage Day features many "Pennsylvania Dutch" favorites that are sure to please, such as smoked sausage, roasted sweet corn, ice cream, and homemade root beer to wash it all down.
This and other special events at the 1719 Hans Herr House and Museum are open to the general public

for children under 7 years, free.
