To the 1719 Hans Herr House & Museum from Lancaster and points north (Harrisburg, Reading, US 30, Interstate 76):

Routing: US 222/ PA 272 to junction PA 741; left hand turn onto 222/741; continue on 222/741 through three traffic lights, then turn onto the next right, Hans Herr Drive. One-half mile on left is Museum.

Landmark directions: Follow US 222/ PA 272 south through Lancaster. You will cross the Conestoga River at the complicated traffic signal at the junction with PA 324, but continue south on 222/272 (left-hand lanes). You will cross the Mill Creek at Lyndon and continue uphill to the Willow Valley complex. There is a traffic light here, the first south of Lancaster. Continue on PA 222/272 to the next traffic signal, which is the intersection with PA 741. Stay in the left hand lane: PA 272 continues south; PA 222 turns left. Turn left and follow 222/741 through three more traffic lights (PA 272 north; Peach Bottom Road/Eshleman Mill Road; and Willow Valley Lakes Drive). The first road to the right after the last traffic signal is Hans Herr Drive. Turn right onto Hans Herr Drive and follow it 1/2 mile to the Museum, on your left.
