Experience Colonial America
2010 is an exceptional year at the Hans Herr House as we join Lancaster Mennonite Historical Society in celebration of Lancaster Roots 300, the 300th anniversary of the arrival of the first permanent settlers in Lancaster County. 

The year is filled with an exciting schedule of events, many which take place at the Hans Herr House Museum.

In addition to the new opportunities presented by Lancaster Roots 300, the Hans Herr House will host our annual Fall Heritage Festival and Christmas Candlelight Tours.

At both of these events, costumed demonstrators educate visitors about the life and culture of the Mennonite Colonists who settled Lancaster county. 

Hands-on activities and traditional foods are a part of the Fall Heritage Festival and the Christmas Candlelight Tours.

Events at the Herr House
The most popular events of the year remain the Fall Heritage Festival and the Christmas Candlelight Tours. These events are open to the general public and do not require reservations.
