Design Your Own Field Trip
Plan a Field Trip that meets the needs and goals of your curriculum by choosing from several hands-on activities for your students. Rotate between stations or allow students to learn skills more in-depth, either way, this option provides a higher level of participation than a standard Field Trip or Frolick Event.
Choices for Hands-On Activities include but are not limited to:
Basket Making, Flax Culture, Blacksmith, Fraktur, Brooms, Frontier Cabin Life, Butter Churning, Hearth Cooking, Food Preservation, Herbal Medicine, Clothing Construction, Lathe and Snitzelbank, Candles, Laundry, Colonial Games, Papermaking, Corn Husk Dolls, Quilting, Dyeing, Scherenschnitte

FREE - Chaperones (up to 1 adult per 8 students)
$4.00 - Additional Adults
Teachers and chaperones may be asked to help lead activities.
Training will be provided.
Local Driving Tour
With the use of your school bus and driver, the Hans Herr House can provide a walk-on guide to lead a Local Tour of old buildings, bridges, mills and cemeteries.
